Mechanical tees can be used to connect branch pipes directly to steel pipes. The nominal pressure is 1.6 MPa. Installation method is as follows: the steel pipe is opened by a hole opener, then the mechanical tee is carded into the hole, and the hole is sealed by a sealing ring along the wall of the pipe.
